Sistema de Cuidados In Uruguay was created with the aim of generating a model of shared responsibility for care, between families, the State, the community and the market.

The Challenge

Complete, order, standardize and georeference the public and private provision of early childhood care and education in Uruguay. Encourage the exchange of information on early childhood education and care proposals between citizens and early childhood service providers.

Content & Strategy

A web portal based on the information gathered from the National Resource Guide (GNR) and the Geographic Information System (GIS) of the Ministry of Social Development of Uruguay, which could be used to display systematized and geo-referenced information on early childhood care and education centres. 
Each Child Care and Education Center can expand and update the information on each  proposal, as well as including images that illustrate the work of each Center.

Results

Portal de Primera Infancia, is a web directory that provides the community with systematized and geo-referenced information of the public and private early childhood care and education centres, so that families can access to quality information when their making care decisions regarding to the children.
